Winter Warmth

For most, the fresh chill in the air means you have the perfect excuse to buy those cosy warm boots or that snug jersey, for others, the bitterly cold weather means a fight for survival. Your donations kept 33 000 thousand people warmer in KwaZulu-Natal last year. Join East Coast Radio and The Hub as we launch Winter Warmth 2011.

Official sponsor of Winter Warmth, The Hub, have made making a donation so simple. Blankets can be purchased and dropped off at all The Hub stores at R35 each. You can make your cash donation over the counter there too. Making a donation spurs those feel good vibes, but as an added bonus, for every blanket you donate, you get 10% off your next purchase at The Hub.

Every year, East Coast Radio runs Winter Warmth and calls on your help to donate blankets and money, in a drive to spread the warmth to those less fortunate. During the season’s two coldest months, your generosity is what enables us to reach the far corners of our province, offering comfort and respite from the cold.

East Coast Radio appeals to you to help save a life and make a donation. Warm the hearts of those who desperately need it this winter with East Coast Radio’s Winter Warmth 2011 proudly brought to you by The Hub.

Blankets can be dropped off at East Coast Radio, The Hub and Durban Deliveries. Online donations can be made here.

Cash donations can be made directly into the Winter Warmth bank account:

Rembember it's "Friday Night Race Night"...

... Loads of Fun, Loads of excitement and loads of good old spectator support. Bring you camp chairs , blankets and torches to view at certain points on the track.

Full catering at really good prices from the restaurant at Douglas Mitchell ... don't miss out.

We have revised our points system which will make for a more exciting competition between the Race Snakes so watch out for the log table on the night.

6 points for a win
4 points for a second
2 points for a third
1 point for a finish

The Log leaders at this stage still remain the same. We have also added in the Sub Nipper Category to make it easier for the little bikers to get onto the podium and get in on the prizes.

We are looking forward to an even more raucous Friday night 3rd June 2011
