This weekend saw a few roadies and mountain bikers from the South Coast riding the Bandot Toti 60'er Cycle Challenge. In the 84km race, congratulations to Burry Stander and Cherise Taylor on winning the mens and ladies race respectively. Congratulations must also go to Bennie Kruger who made it to the podium, with stiff competition, claiming a 3rd place in the Vets 50+ Category. His time was 2h21. Brian Lindecke came in first from the South Coast in a time of 2h21. Heather Malan did a time of 2h38 taking 4th place in the Vets Ladies, Fred Van Zyl finished in 2h49, followed by Mark Bolton and Grant Richardson in 2h52. Rob Bartlett completed the 69km race in 2h39.
This weekend is the Ingeli Forest Mtb Super Classic. It promises to be a weekend of great fun with a night ride on the Saturday evening and the mountain bike race on Sunday. With a 45km, 30km and 8km ride on Sunday all levels of rider are catered for. An accomodation special is on offer for people wanting to stay over on Saturday night. This Thursday afternoon is time trials at Uvongo fishing pier from 16h15 onwards.
Saturday will be the normal ride from Dura Cycles at 6:30am with 3 mountain bike groups going out.
